Sports/Skills Instructor II (Itty Bitty Sports)--NW YMCA
Join the Northwest YMCA sports department part time (apx. 5-8 hours a week) and teach basic and/or advanced skills to children ages 3 through 12 involved on our Itty Bitty sports programs. Qualified applicants will be at least 18 years old with a minimum of 6 months prior leadership or instruction experience and be able to monitor behavior of the children in our programs. A flexible schedule including the ability to work evenings and weekends is necessary as well as knowledge of how to play basketball, soccer, baseball, and football. School Age Childcare Site Coordinator--Jacobs/City YMCA
Join the Jacobs/City YMCA staff team as a site coordinator for our after school programs and assist our program director with the administration, coordination, development and operating functions of our childcare programs. We are looking for the right person to help our childcare programs continue to grow to meet the needs of families searching for quality childcare. Qualified applicants will be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent and 24 months or more of childcare experience or NAC, CDA, CPC, or CCP credential or an associates or bachelor's degree in childcare or a closely related field. A TB skin test must be completed as well as having current CPR/1st Aid certification and submitting fingerprints to AZ DPS within 7 days of hire to obtain a fingerprint clearance card.

Effective communication between staff, participants, and parents is essential in this position and the site coordinator will be responsible for understanding state licensing and YMCA childcare regulations. Training staff will also be an important role of this position while positively interacting with children in our programs and developing age appropriate lesson plans weekly.

Sports Official II & III--Lohse Family YMCA
Looking for a fun part-time job involving basketball? Join the downtown Lohse family YMCA sports staff team and become a referee for either our youth or adult leagues. Qualified applicants will have specific knowledge of the rules of basketball, provide for game rule enforcement, be able to verbally direct and instruct program participants in the youth league and possess certification by the state association to officiate freshman or junior varsity sports.

Officials will be responsible for the conduct of the total game area, will need to report league results and cancellations to the director following the games, and be responsible for the cleanliness and safety of the game area. Youth games will be held on Saturdays and the adult leagues are on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Pay will be dependent upon experience and certifications held. Season will begin on January 24. Some training will be held for less experienced officials.

Preschool Leader I/II--Ott Family YMCA

Some duties will include helping children with reading and number readiness, preparing arts and crafts lessons, engaging children in circle time and supervising outdoor play. Preschool Leader I--Mulcahy/City YMCA
Join the Mulcahy/City YMCA staff team part-time as a preschool leader working with children ages 1-5 years old during the week! We are looking for qualified candidates who are available to work various hours Monday-Friday that are at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, 6 months prior childcare experience or a CDA, a valid Arizona fingerprint clearance card and current CPR/1st Aid certification. Qualified applicants must also present 4 letters of recommendation, immunization records, have a TB skin test done and the preferred candidate must be willing to work towards obtaining a CDA. Basic duties will include being responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating weekly lesson plans and age appropriate activities for children. Aquatics Instructor I--Ott Family YMCA
Join our Ott YMCA staff at our eastside location and make the water a safe environment for all. We are looking to hire multiple swim lesson instructors (openers, midday, and closers) to be responsible for promoting safety and to conduct YMCA swimming lessons (group lessons and private lessons). Qualified applicants will be at least 16 years old with current CPR/AED certification, 1st Aid certification and supplemental oxygen administration as well as a current YMCA or Red Cross lifeguard training certificate.
